Gaethje challenges Kevin Lee and teases: 'I love punching loudmouths'

North American wants to recover from the first defeat of his career against former challenger for the interim lightweight belt

Coming off a loss to Eddie Alvarez at UFC 218, Justin gaethje He doesn't seem too worried about the first setback in his career and is already looking to the next challenge. The lightweight wants to face Kevin Lee, former challenger for the interim belt in the category. To ensure that his rival will accept the “invitation”, Gaethje made a point of provoking him.

The American recalled the first time the two met and declared that he had a good first impression of the now possible opponent, but also said that things had changed.

I said I wanted to wait until June or July, but I think I'll hit the Kevin Lee before that”, commented Gaethje, in an interview with the North American program The MMA Hour.

The lightweight arrived at the UFC undefeated and as a former WSOF champion. After a very lively and competitive fight, in which he kept his record intact against Michael Johnson, Gaethje was invited to coach TUF 26 alongside Eddie Alvarez. The two coaches faced each other at UFC 218 and, despite losing, “Highlight” was once again praised for another exciting fight in Ultimate.
