The Brazilian Chris Cyborg reached the judges' decision for the first time since 2008 in the victory over Holly holm at UFC 219. And the featherweight champion made a point of praising the North American's stance, who entered the Octagon with a well-planned strategy to neutralize it, but didn't count on Cris' ability to adapt.

In an interview backstage at UFC 219, Cyborg spoke about Holly holm and again asked for a fight with “a real featherweight”, again citing the Australian Megan anderson as a possible opponent for his next fight.

“Holly had an incredible fight and that makes me happier to be champion. She had a good fight, so it doesn't surprise me that the judges gave her a round or two. She made a great strategy, as she wouldn't let me fit in sequences. She knew how to move very quickly, so I would land a blow and when I was about to land another, she had already left my reach. In the third round, I hit her with a hard blow, but time ran out. She was a great test for me (…) Now I want to face a real fighter in my category. Want the Megan anderson in Australia, but I hope the fans in Brazil don't get jealous (laughs)”, commented the Brazilian, who also praised her own physical fitness.

“I think I showed that I can go five rounds. People didn't have faith in my fitness, but I showed that I can get there and fight for 25 minutes at the same pace. I’m in great shape and could handle up to five more rounds now,” he assured.
