UFC should hold event in Chile in the first half of 2018

The expansion of Ultimate should not stop in 2018. With an eye on the Latin market, the UFC should hold an event in Chile in the first half of next year. According to a report on the Combate channel website, the franchise arrives in Santiago for an edition of the 'Fight Night' series on May 19th.

The venue for the show will be the Movistar Arena, with capacity for around 12 thousand spectators. Also according to the note, Ultimate has already booked the venue for May 15th to 20th.

The UFC's plan would be to hold an event in Argentina at the end of 2017, but due to lack of dates the organization chose to postpone the plan and hold a show in Chile in the first half of 2018. Even so, the city of Buenos Aires is still in the event plans to host an edition next year.

Brazil

In addition to Chile and, possibly, Argentina, South America should host four other editions in Brazil, one of which will be a PPV card. However, so far, the only confirmed edition is in the city of Belém, on February 3rd.
