Cigano wants to use jiu-jitsu against Velasquez's wrestling

The Brazilian Junior Gypsy next November 12th, in California, will be the biggest challenge of his career, when he will face Cain Velazquez for the UFC heavyweight belt. Known for his knockout power, the Brazilian athlete revealed, during the press conference to promote the duel, that he has been perfecting his jiu-jitsu to try to neutralize the North American's takedown game.

“I like fighting on my feet, but I'll be ready to fight wherever I need to. I'm learning wrestling very quickly. He'll probably want to take me down, but I'll be ready to use jiu-jitsu,” said the Brazilian.

The fight between Cigano and Velasquez will take place in Anaheim, a Californian city with a large number of Latino immigrants. As Cain has Mexican ancestry, the entire audience present at the press conference, this Tuesday (20), supported the current champion and even booed the Brazilian, who in a political way, praised the warmth of the fans.

“It’s great to receive all this energy. Of those who support it and those who don't support it either. It doesn’t matter, it’s great to see the public excited for the fight”, said Cigano.

    I'm really rooting for Cigano, I think it's going to be a knockout, but Cigano will have to think about the possibility of Cain also going for a stand-up, thus trying to deceive the Brazilian who expects the American to try for a direct takedown, it's good to analyze this detail.
