The relationship between Anderson Silva and Dana White, president of the UFC, appears to have gone on stand-by since the Brazilian was caught again in an anti-doping test and forced to withdraw from the fight he would have with the North American Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC China headliner. The director himself revealed that he has not yet spoken to the former champion about the matter.

Dana White admits to being saddened by a new positive drug test Anderson Silva, whom he has called “the best of all time” on several occasions. The Ultimate representative said that he only contacted Ed Soares, one of “Spider’s” managers.

“Obviously, I was very sad (about Anderson’s new positive test). I was really sad. I don't know... They have remained silent, they haven't said anything. I spoke to Ed Soares (businessman) a couple of times, and he himself had not spoken to Anderson Silva. I don’t know”, Dana White commented to the press, in statements reproduced by the North American website MMA Junkie.

Before UFC China, Anderson Silva was caught again in an anti-doping test. He had already tested positive in 2015, shortly after the fight with Nick Diaz, which marked his return to the UFC after breaking his leg against Chris Weidman. The Brazilian received a one-year suspension for what happened, but now faces a possible punishment of up to four years.
