After the controversy that involved the Brazilian Leo Santos at BAMMA, the seventh edition of the British event took place this weekend in Birmingham, England. The only Tupiniquim athlete on the fight program, Diego Vital, who was hastily called up to replace Leo Santos, was no match for Englishman Rob Sinclair and ended up being knocked out in the third round.
In the main fight of the night, veteran Frank Trigg was surprised by Jim Wallhead in a very busy fight. The British athlete started the fight aggressively and managed a knockdown and punished Trigg with hard ground and pound blows. Even though he came back well for the second round, Frank was unable to reverse the situation and was defeated in a split decision by the judges.
Another highlight of the show was Paul Daley bounced back from losses to Nick Diaz e Tyron woodley for Strikeforce, and even though he was unable to end the fight with a knockout, he easily beat Bulgarian Jordan Radev with a unanimous decision from the judges.
