Lamas is on a two-fight win streak, having defeated Brazilian Charles Oliveira, by submission, and North American Jason Knight, by knockout. “Bully” had been alternating victories and defeats before the current sequence, losing, in addition to Aldo, to Chad Mendes and also for Max Holloway. At 35 years old, his record has 18 positive results and five negative results.

Former lightweight, Emmett debuted at featherweight last October, when he defeated Felipe Sertanejo by points. At 32 years old, he had just four fights in the organization, recording three positive results and one negative, the only one in his entire career (12-1 in total).

The UFC Winnipeg card will be headlined by a clash between former champions Rafael dos Anjos e Robbie Lawler, valid for the welterweight division. Three other Brazilians are also confirmed on the show.
