Returning to the octagon less than a month after his traumatic defeat at UFC 217, Michael Bisping has avoided provocations to the next opponent, Kelvin Gastelum. The former champion's stance was surprising, as he is known for being one of the most active fighters in bantering with rivals. However, the Englishman admitted that he became famous for this to help sell pay-per-view packages.

As the duel with Gastelum will not be sold through the system and will be available to subscribers of the UFC streaming service, Bisping admits that he does not feel motivated to provoke the American.
“I also work as a commentator for the UFC, so I've analyzed a lot of their fights. I have nothing negative to say about Kelvin. He's a pretty cool guy. This fight won't be on pay-per-view, so I don't have to sell it. Kelvin seems to be a very good person, despite having many “pouting” photos on Instagram. Other than that, he seems like a nice guy,” Bisping said at UFC China Media Day, ensuring that he thinks he’s a favorite for the fight.”
“He is an excellent fighter, with good hands, and a good wrestling game. He has good wins on his record, he's beaten some guys I've never beaten. It's okay that they were no longer on steroids. I expect a tough fight. I don't think it will be a walk in the park. I'm hoping for a guy smaller than me, with less reach, and without as much experience as I have. If I fight like I know I can, I should win this fight. But let’s see what happens”, concluded the Englishman.
