“I didn't see the video, but I heard what happened. I think it's normal, he's an emotional guy. And when an Irishman is fighting, all the Irish embrace him. I don't condemn it. He didn't want to do it for attention, he's done it before. When I visited The Ultimate Fighter in the season he was the coach, an athlete on his team won the fight and he invaded the Octagon, and even ripped his pants. He is very emotional and I don’t condemn him for that”, declared Aldo, who admitted to having done the same.

“How many times have I invaded the Shooto cage when one of my friends was fighting? I always go. The referee talks to me, but I'm going anyway. I think it's the heat of the moment, but there are bigger things than this type of rule”, pondered the former champion.
