The end of 2017 promises a lot of excitement for Brazil in the UFC. On Thursday night (16), the organization announced that Chris Cyborg will defend the women's featherweight belt against Holly holm, former champion of the bantamweight division. The fight will be an attraction at UFC 219, an event that takes place on December 30th, in Las Vegas, and closes the organization's season for the year.

The Brazilian Chris Cyborg, 32 years old, has a professional record of 18 wins and just one loss. The duel against Holm marks the Brazilian's first title defense. In July, at UFC 214, the woman from Paraná won the title by beating Tonya Evinger by technical knockout. The title was vacant after Germain de Randamie refused to face Cyborg and made the franchise dethrone the Dutchwoman as champion.
