Recovered from the harsh defeat suffered by Georges St Pierre at UFC 217, Michael Bisping There is already a new fight scheduled, in a few days, against Kelvin Gastelum, in the main attraction of UFC China. But in a conference call for the event, the Englishman did not spare criticism of the man he will replace on the 25th: Anderson Silva. For the former champion, the new doping case that removed Spider from the duel with Gastelum “destroys” his legacy.

According to Bisping, the fact that this is the second case of a positive anti-doping test means that the Brazilian “cheated” throughout his career and does not deserve the applause for some of his great performances in the past.

“This completely destroys the legacy of Anderson Silva, in my opinion. Many people have short memories and will only remember their performances, which were great. But if you test positive for steroids twice…If it's just once, you can still argue, but I think twice and the coffin closes. He's a cheater and it's a shame. It's very, very disappointing. I was a big fan of Anderson Silva. It’s very disappointing and it’s a black eye for the sport, for MMA”, argued Bisping.

Although the former champion's words included that Anderson fell due to steroids, nothing was disclosed regarding the substance found in the Brazilian's system. Recently, Spider himself issued a statement in which he promised to continue fighting, not denying the use of any banned substance on the USADA list.
