Hacran Dias, who had his first lightweight fight in UFC Sao Paulo, after spending most of his career at featherweight, ended up leaving the organization after having a below-par performance against Jared gordon. Adriano Martins had good performances, but was coming off two defeats and was also released. Henrique Frankenstein began his UFC career with two victories, but ended up losing four in a row, including a knockout to former kickboxing world champion Gokhan Saki.
The heavy weight Carlos Boi he was the only one fired without even fighting for Ultimate. The Brazilian was selected to debut against Christian Colombo in the UFC Sao Paulo at the end of October, but he was caught in an anti-doping test by USADA, suspended for two years and removed from the card – he was replaced by Marcelo Golm. Finally, Takanori Gomi, who made history in Pride and was considered the best lightweight in the world in the last decade, ends his UFC history in a melancholy way, with five consecutive defeats on his record.
