Middleweight Markus Maluko Perez, 29, is the UFC's new Brazilian signing. The São Paulo native already has a date, place and opponent set to make his debut in his new home: he will face the North American Erik Anders in Fresno, United States, on December 9th. At 29 years old, Markus has a perfect record, having won the nine professional fights he has had. His most recent fight was in September this year, when he finished Ian Heinisch and won the LFA middleweight belt. He participated in TUF Brasil 3, but was submitted by Guilherme Bomba in the selection process for the reality show.
Anders, in turn, has a trajectory practically identical to the Brazilian. A year older, he is also undefeated in his career with nine victories, as well as being a former LFA champion. The difference, however, is that he has already played in Ultimate: he knocked out Rafael Sapo still in the first round, last July.
The UFC Fresno card, which will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Cub swanson e Brian ortega, there are, to date, four more Brazilians confirmed. The middleweight Antônio Braga Neto, away from MMA for over four years, returns against Trevin giles, Davi ramos has a lightweight duel against Chris Gruetzemacher and the bantamweights Iuri Marajó e Rani Yaya face Alejandro Perez e aljamain sterlingrespectively.
