In the athletes' last commitment before UFC Rio, the official weigh-in for the event took place this Friday afternoon, which will take place this Saturday, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. In the challenge against the scales, all fighters made weight without any problems, but another fact caught the attention of the entire international media. During the climb from outside Brazil on the scale, the Brazilian fans welcomed the foreigners with shouts of “you’re going to die”. Despite the embarrassment, the fighters were not bothered by the provocations and even joked about what happened. The American Forrest griffin, who will face the Brazilian Mauricio Shogun at the event, he put his hands to his ears and asked the crowd to scream louder.
At the weigh-in for the main fight of the night, valid for the middleweight belt (up to 84 kg), the Japanese Yushin Okami weighed 83 kg, while the Brazilian Anderson Silva weighed 83,5 kg.
