The climate between Georges St Pierre e Michael Bisping It's a seesaw of emotions. After the Canadian praised the current middleweight champion, to the point of stating that it would be the biggest challenge of his career, GSP changed the tone of his speech and once again provoked his rival. Ironically, St. Pierre insinuated that Bisping is afraid that he will use his wrestling on November 4th in New York, when they face each other in the main fight of UFC 217.

“He's always playing the same song. He's scared I'll use my wrestling. Scared. In every interview he gives, he begs me to stand up. What I want to say is: if you don't know how to ground, you shouldn't be in MMA, you should be in kickboxing. Fighting on the ground is part of the game, and he is terrified. I’m going to use all my weapons,” he declared in an interview with “The MMA Hour” program.
St. Pierre hasn't fought since November 2013, when he crashed John hendricks. After the triumph, in a tight decision by the judges, he announced his indefinite retirement from MMA. He has a professional record of 25 wins and two losses. In the UFC, he has accumulated 20 triumphs and two setbacks, with nine title defenses in the welterweight category, which made him the most dominant champion in the history of the 77kg division.
Bisping, in turn, won the middleweight belt by knocking out Luke Rockhold at UFC 199, in June 2016. Since then, he has only performed once, when he defended his title against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 last October. In total, there are 20 positive results and seven negative results in the organization.
