Dana declared that St. Pierre needs to win Michael Bisping in the main fight of UFC 217 and defend the middleweight belt that will be up for grabs on November 4th at least once. McGregor, in turn, would also have to defend his lightweight title, so that the duel, probably in the welterweight category, has a chance of becoming a reality.
“GSP would have to win and defend the middleweight title and Conor also has work to do. It would be something to start discussing in a year and a half, I imagine. Everyone is intriguing to Conor McGregor. I mean, just look at how he performs at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight. Everything is intriguing for him”, declared White, in an interview with TSN, even talking about possible locations for the superfight.
“I don’t know where we could organize this event. We could do it in Croke Park, a stadium in Ireland, for 100 thousand people, or Rodgers Centre, which has already hosted another event in St. Pierre. with almost 56 thousand people. And we have Las Vegas, which is always really good too,” he said.
