Brendan Schaub (right) confident to defeat Minotaur
Runner-up in the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC reality show, Brendan Schaub On August 27th, he will face the biggest challenge of his career. The North American faces the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro at UFC Rio, which will make its first fight on national territory.
Known for taking down legends, Schaub racks up victories over stars like Gabriel Napao and Mirko Cro Cop, but the heavyweight guarantees that all the pressure is on the Brazilian black belt.
“Fighting a guy like (Rodrigo) Nogueira in his hometown is an honor… Nobody who faces him in Brazil has an obligation to win. Don’t get me wrong, but having a fight like this at home puts a lot more pressure on him,” Schaub told MMA Junkie radio. The American also stated that he will use his boxing to silence the crowd at the HSBC Arena and defeat Minotauro.
“I think my boxing can compete with anyone in the (heavyweight) division. In the fight against Minotauro I will prove what I am saying”, concluded Brendan
