“Henry was doing a charity event in Northern California and sleeping at the hotel when apparently his entire hotel caught fire. Henry didn't hear the alarm while he was sleeping, and when he woke up, the entire hotel was already on fire, and he had to jump from the second floor. He was the last one to evacuate the hotel and I believe the area around it was also on fire, and he had to jump over some bars to survive. He had to leave his Olympic gold medal and his Olympic gold and diamond ring behind in the fire,” he reported, adding that Cejudo was in “shock” after surviving.

For now, his duel against Sergio Pettis, which is scheduled for UFC 218, on December 2nd, remains on hold. The North American recovered from his first defeats in MMA, to Demetrious Johnson e Joseph Benavidez, with a knockout in the second round over the Brazilian Wilson reis.

The wildfire spreading across California has killed at least 11 people, while hundreds remain missing. The estimate by North American authorities is that at least 1,5 buildings were damaged by the fire, leaving thousands of people homeless throughout the entire North region.
