The wait was long, but featherweight Sheymon Moraes finally signed a contract with the UFC. Considered one of the best Brazilian fighters outside of Ultimate, the Rio native will debut in his new home on November 25th, in China, on the card that will be led by the confrontation between Anderson Silva e Kelvin Gastelum. It has not yet been decided who the Tupiniquim athlete's opponent will be. The information is from the 'Combate' channel website.

Sheymon, 26, has won nine of the ten fights he has had as a professional, the last of which was in June 2016, when he beat Luis Palomino on points. His only defeat was against his compatriot Marlon moraes, now also a UFC fighter, when he competed for the WSOF bantamweight belt in 2015. On that occasion, he ended up being submitted in the third round.

Sheymon Moraes, alongside Anderson Silva, are, so far, the only Brazilians confirmed in UFC China, but the expectation is that more clashes will be announced in the coming weeks. Welterweight Alberto Mina, from Paraíba who lived in Japan for a long time, has already shown interest in being part of the card.
