Considered the biggest MMA event in Europe, ACB (Absolute Championship Berkut) will make its debut on Brazilian soil on October 21st. The Russian organization will hold a show in Rio de Janeiro, with no location yet announced, and will feature former The Ultimate Fighter and UFC Daniel sarafian in the main fight. He faces fellow Brazilian Carlos Eduardo “Cachorrão”, who has a stint with Bellator.

Sarafian left the UFC in February last year after being knocked out by Oluwale Bamgbose and recovered in the Leagcy Fighting Alliance, when he beat Austin Heidlage in a unanimous decision fighting as a light heavyweight. “Cachorrão”, in turn, comes from five consecutive victories, the last two at M-1 Global, another Russian event.
Another fight confirmed for the event will feature another former Ultimate fighter: Leandro “Buscapé” faces Russian Islam Makoev, who is coming off two consecutive victories for the company. The lightweight has one win and one loss for ACB, having beaten former UFC and Strikeforce star Pat “Bam Bam” Healy in his debut and lost to Joshua Aveles in July of this year.
The ACB was created in 2012 by Chechen Mairbek Khasiev and has already held 71 editions. Brazil will host the 73rd show in the organization's history, which will hold another event before arriving in Rio de Janeiro. ACB 72 will be held in Montreal, Canada, on October 14th, with a flyweight fight between former UFC and former Bellator champion Zach Makovsky and Yan Sherbatov. The Brazilian Thiago tavares will fight on this show.
