“The UFC always sends me a message asking for the song. I've already sent everything to them and everything is fine, I'm going to sing Grêmio's anthem. It's unprecedented, I thought during training”, he declared, in an interview with the 'Combate' channel website.
Although he always makes a point of praising his affection for Grêmio, Werdum guarantees that he does not feel retaliated against by fans of Internacional, the arch-rival club of Tricolor Rio Grande do Sul. According to him, Coloradoans also support him through messages on social media.
“I'm sure the people at Inter will understand, I have many Colorado friends who encourage me and support me, they even send me messages on my social networks. I have never hidden that I am a Grêmio fan, however, I respect Inter”, he concluded.
Fabricio Werdum, in fact, is used to 'innovating' when it comes to choosing entrance music for his fights. In 2014, when he beat Travis Browne for the first time, he entered to the sound of 'Lepo Lepo', by the band Psirico, a sensation at that year's carnival. Last year, in Curitiba, when he lost the belt to Stipe Miocic, the Brazilian entered with the theme that marked the career of Ayrton Senna, motorsport legend who died 23 years ago.
