Flyweight Kalindra Faria has a new opponent for UFC 216, an event that takes place this Saturday (07), in Las Vegas (USA). After the withdrawal of her original opponent from the card, the North American Andrea Lee, the Brazilian will now face the Italian Mara Romero Borella, who, like Faria, will also debut in the organization. In professional MMA, Kalindra, 31, has 18 wins, five losses and one draw. She comes from three consecutive victories, including a victory over patriot Carina Damm, by decision, in a fight that won her the Titan FC women's bantamweight belt, in September last year. Her last defeat was against the Polish player Karolina Kowalkiewicz, former UFC strawweight title challenger. Recently, she participated in the soap opera “A Força do Querer”, as one of the opponents of Jeiza, character of actress Paolla Oliveira.

Borella, who is the same age as the Brazilian, also has three consecutive victories, the most recent in July this year, when she beat Milana Dudieva on points. With five wins and one no contest in his last six fights, he hasn't lost since 2015, when he was knocked out by China's Jin Tang. In total, he has 11 positive results, four negative results and one fight without result on his record.

Tony Ferguson e Kevin Lee will take part in the main fight of UFC 216, in a duel that will define the interim lightweight champion.
