In the first edition of Dream, held this Saturday morning, at the Saitama Super Arena, in Japan, Brazilians had different feelings. Only Luiz Buscapé came out as the winner, the BTT submitted Kazuyuki Miyata with a rear naked choke at 7m37s of the first round and continues in the lightweight GP of the event, André Dida and Gesias Cavalcanti don't have much to celebrate. In the main fight of the night, Gesias faced Japanese Shinya Aoki in a fight that ended without a winner. After landing three elbows on the Japanese, which is allowed by the rules, the judge stopped the fight and declared a no contest in the first round, after the Japanese stated that one of the blows hit the back of the head. Gesias joined the chorus of fans, who called for Aoki to return to the fight, which did not happen, disappointing those who were waiting for the fight of the night.
Brazilian André Dida was unable to overcome American Eddie Alvarez and was knocked out at 6:47 of the first round. In the Mirko Cro-Cop fight, the result was no different than expected. Cro Cop came back with everything too, knocking out the fragile Mizuno after 56 seconds of combat. Check out Dream's complete results below.
