Undefeated for more than four years and 11 fights, Max Holloway has not yet given up on avenging the last defeat of its record. Overcome by Conor McGregor in 2013, the current UFC featherweight champion guarantees that the outcome would be different in a supposed rematch between the two. Confident, the Hawaiian questions Conor's recent performances and says he is ready to end the 'fairy tale' lived by the Irishman.

“It’s a fairy tale.(…) If you want someone to end the fairy tale of Conor McGregor, they know who to call. But they don't want to. They prefer to hold hands with him and walk together towards the sunset. That's how they are. (…) Everyone refers to him as the champion, but his record in the last four fights is two wins and two losses – and one of the victories is questionable. This record could very well be one win and three losses, if we wanted to be very honest. But it's his fairy tale, which will be ended if he faces me and I beat him. Every fairy tale ends, and this one, about McGregor being the toughest guy on the planet and things like that, will be ended if he faces me and sees that things won't go the way he thinks”, declared Max, in an interview with the program ' MMA Tonight on SiriusXM Rus'.

Although he questions McGregor's latest results, Holloway makes a point of praising his rival's qualities. Sincerely, the 'Blessed' claims not to be bothered by the loudmouth style of the current lightweight champion, highlighting that the achievements achieved by Conor are the result of a lot of work.

“The truth is that McGregor talks a lot, but he backed everything he said. Point for him. When I speak, I don't intend to hurt anyone, I just state facts, I show my opponents' numbers. If someone gets nervous, it's because, deep down, they know that what I say is true. Conor always tries to push the limit, WWE style. That's his way, and he thinks it's okay. He can be like that, I can't. I'm sure that if a lot of people could be like that, everyone would end up being like that. But not everyone can do it, so we have to respect that they can. I prefer to show where I came from and how I train. Conor wants to get inside your head, and no one needs to be mad at him for that. It's his personality. I'm not a “hater”. I have respect for Conor McGregor. He has been working hard, and achieving what he wants. Fair enough,” he concluded.
