Last Friday (22), members of USADA were arrested in Thailand when collecting samples from the Brazilian Chris Cyborg for not having a work visa. The UFC featherweight champion herself broke the news on social media and said she had collaborated with members of the anti-doping agency. This Wednesday (27), the organization confirmed that Cyborg gave his samples without any problems.

Although the Brazilian had already stated that she had not had any problems with USADA, the agency's members were arrested for having suspicious behavior, “following” Cyborg and also for not having a work visa, despite being originally from Singapore. Employees at the hotel where the Brazilian woman is staying called the police out of fear that the agency's employees were chasing Cyborg. USADA has not commented on the members' arrest, but is conducting an internal investigation with the accredited laboratories involved in the case.
“Ms. Justino (Cyborg's surname) fully collaborated with the collection process. From collection to delivery, the integrity of the sample has been guaranteed and it is currently in the process of analysis at one of the USADA-accredited laboratories in Tokyo. The cooperation of athletes in providing the required sample is essential to ensure the protection of athletes' rights to clean and fair sport,” the statement said.
Brazilian Cyborg has already declared that she intends to fight at UFC 219, in the last Ultimate event of the year. She wants to face Holly holm, but the fight is not yet guaranteed. Meanwhile, she is undergoing a period of training in Thailand, with Phuket Top Team.
