Dana White, president of the UFC, tried to cool down rumors that indicated a possible third duel between Conor McGregor e Nate diaz. After international websites speculated that the trilogy between the two opponents could take place on December 30th, in Las Vegas, at UFC 219, the president took to social media to deny his interest in holding the fight.

“That’s definitely not true,” the president responded to a fan who questioned him.
Nate and McGregor have already faced each other twice, both times in the welterweight division (under 77kg). In the first, in March 2016, the North American submitted his rival in the second round, after suffering in the opening minutes. Five months later, better for Notório, who won the rematch by majority decision of the judges. In the supposed trilogy, Perez guarantees that Diaz, if he is 100% prepared, would have no major problems defeating the Irishman again.
The rematch against McGregor, in August last year, was the last time Diaz stepped into the Octagon. At 32 years old, Nate, who is the champion of TUF 5, 2007, has already had 23 fights in the organization, totaling 14 positive results and nine negative results. He even challenged for the lightweight belt in 2012, but was defeated by the former champion Ben henderson.
Conor, in turn, hasn't even put his belt on the line yet: he hasn't played in the UFC since November 2016, when he won the lightweight title by knocking out Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. In the company since 2013, he has nine wins and just one loss in the house, including the historic 13-second knockout in José Aldo, which earned him the featherweight title.
