Patricky Pitbull frustrates Ben Henderson and wins Bellator 183 main fight

Potiguar showed speed in the stand-up fight and avoided all of the former UFC champion's takedown attempts to win the judges' decision

It was Brazil in the main fight of Bellator 183, an event held this Saturday night (23), San Jose (USA). The Potiguar Patricky Pitbull showed his sharp boxing game and great takedown defense to defeat the former UFC champion, Ben henderson, in the judges' decision. The triumph marked the 18th of the Brazilian's career.

The show also brought another representative of the country to the show who left the cage circulating with his arm raised. Goiti Yamauchi, who was born in Japan, but raised in Brazil since his early years, submitted Adam Piccolott with a choke in the first round.

Patricky Pitbull he had a tough mission ahead of him. Face the former UFC champion Ben henderson and avenge the defeat suffered by his brother, Patrício, in August of last year. With a lot of speed in the stand-up fight, the Brazilian punished the North American with several punches.

Without being able to stand up in the fight, Bendo tried his best to get a takedown in the second round. The North American spent three minutes in the clinch with the Brazilian, but was unable to take him down. Pitbull not only defended the takedown, but also managed to land a plastic blow on his rival. With one of his legs raised by Henderson, Patricky threw a flying knee that hit his rival squarely.

In the third round, Pitbull returned to maintain the contest at medium distance, thwarting the North American's takedown attempts and taking the contest by the judges' decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

Roy Nelson debuts with victory

The 'chubby' Roy Nelson debuted in Bellator with the right foot. At 41 years old, the American faced Javy Ayala and won the judges' decision.

Despite Nelson's victory, the start of the dispute belonged to Ayala. With greater mobility he landed good punches and even a flying knee. But, showing his usual resistance, Nelson was not intimidated by the attacks. At the end of the partial, he took the dispute to the ground and controlled the actions from above.

From the second round onwards, Nelson did not give in to bad luck and repeated the strategy from the previous round. He took down his rival and controlled the actions from above with good blows. In the third round, Roy even placed his knee on Ayala's chest to stabilize his rival and strike more forcefully.

In the end, victory Roy Nelson in the unanimous decision of the judges (30-26, 30-29-28, 29-28).

Goiti Yamauchi submits Adam Piccolotti

Born in Japan, but Brazilian with 'body and soul', as he himself likes to say. Goiti Yamauchi scored his third consecutive victory in Bellator. Against Adam Piccolotti he needed just over three minutes to finish the dispute.

The fight started with Piccolotti trying for a takedown, but the American left his neck exposed and Goiti attacked with the guillotine choke. Adam still managed to escape the blow and the dispute returned to the center of the cage. However, right after the restart, the Brazilian attacked his rival and quickly reached his back. He quickly secured the choke and forced his rival to give up the fight.
