Contrary to what happens in most Ultimate events, UFC Japan did not have a ceremonial weigh-in, where the athletes face each other in front of the public, already rehydrated after the official weigh-in. Thus, the last face-off before this Friday's show (22) occurred right after the fighters officially weighed in. The four Brazilian representatives on the card had no problems confirming their fights.

The Brazilian Jessica Andrade e Claudia gadelha face each other in the co-main fight of UFC Japan, in a duel that could give the victor a shot at the strawweight title. Claudinha weighed 52,1 kg, while Bate-Estaca weighed in slightly heavier, but still within the limit, with 52,6.
Frankenstein, who faces the legendary kickboxer Gokhan Saki in the light heavyweight division, weighed 93,4 kg, using the tolerance limit. The Brazilian's opponent weighed 92,9 kg. Finally, Jussier formiga, who faces Yuta “Ulka” Sasaki, weighed in at 57,1 kg, while the Japanese weighed in at 56,9 kg. for the flyweight duel.
Only one fighter didn't make weight for this Friday's event. Hizuto Mirota, from Japan, almost missed the weigh-in window and arrived at the scale looking dizzy. He weighed 68 kg, almost two kilos above the featherweight limit – his opponent, Charles Rosa, managed to reach the weight, with 65,9 kg.
