Current UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping will make the second defense of his belt against Georges St Pierre at UFC 217 on November 4, in New York. The Englishman admits that the duel against GSP, former owner of the welterweight belt, could be the last of his professional career. At 38 years old, the fighter admits that he has been thinking about retirement and revealed that his entire family is asking him to hang up his gloves.

In an interview with the program The MMA Hour, Bisping also stated that he has projects outside of MMA and a career in Hollywood that can be launched – he has already participated in some films in smaller roles.

“The fight with St. Pierre will be big, in an iconic arena for combat sports. And is Georges St Pierre. Everyone knows who he is. It may not be at the recognition level of Conor McGregor ou Ronda Rousey but it's there. He's tough, he brings a new challenge to me. It's a big fight, as I said. Maybe it will be the biggest fight of the year (…) So, maybe it will be my last fight. My family wants me to retire, my manager does too (…) We do it for the money, after all. And I have options outside of MMA. I have already signed to appear in three films and a series next year”, declared Bisping, guaranteeing, however, that the total focus is on surpassing GSP.

“Georges should have stayed retired. He should stay retired, because he left as champion. I'm going to beat him and, who knows, retire as champion. I haven't made up my mind yet (…) I'm still motivated, I'm still training hard and GSP will never have been beaten as much in his life as he did when he faced me”, he said.
