Undefeated in 16 professional fights, Darren till exudes confidence. Owner of a provocative stance inside and outside the octagon, the Englishman based in Brazil is preparing for the biggest challenge of his career: he will face Donald Cerrone in the main fight of UFC Poland, in Gdansk, on October 21st. Although his opponent is renowned and respected in the fighting scene, the Astra Fight Team athlete shrugged off Cowboy's status, promising that he will retire him after giving the American a beating.

“As I always say: I'm the best at what I do and I'm going to beat him. Maybe he'll retire because I'm going to beat him so much. It will end in the first round. I don't know if he'll make it. I swear to God. He will have to retire. What is he going to do with his soft head? I’m going to hit him so hard that his brain won’t be the same anymore,” he declared, in an interview with the Combate channel website.

Last week, Cerrone surprised by saying that he doesn't know who Till is. Asked about his rival's statement, the European showed no concern about the fact, but teased it by stating that he will be known after defeating him, even remembering Cowboy's defeats against the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos.

“He is respectful, very nice, good people. But he doesn't know anything about me? Okay, cool, it's not a lack of respect. He doesn't know me, that's okay. They're saying he'll know me when I hit him, but he'll never forget me because I'm going to hit him so much. He was beaten by Dos Anjos. I'm three times bigger than Dos Anjos and I hit a lot harder. Dos Anjos is a cat, and I am a gorilla”, which he concluded by guaranteeing that he is the favorite for the fight.

“I think I'm the favorite, I'm 24 years old, I'm undefeated, a very big person for welterweight. Cerrone comes from two defeats. I don't care who he lost to, whether it was Lawler, Masvidal, because they're not on my level. I am a gorilla. What can he do to me? Cerrone has fought at lightweight his entire life. At the first blow he will close up and want to get out.”

Born in Liverpool and based in Balneário Camboriú, Darren till, just 24 years old, has 15 wins and a draw on his professional record. In the UFC there are four fights, with one draw and three wins, the most recent at UFC Rotterdam, at the beginning of this month, when he beat Bojan Velickovic on points.
