With five consecutive victories at welterweight and in 9th place in the rankings, Santiago Ponzinibbio is going through the best phase of his career. The good moment he is experiencing places the Argentine as one of the main names in the under-77kg category, which has Tyron woodley as current champion. Aware of the opportunity to get closer and closer to a possible title fight, Hermano has already defined who he would like to face next: Rafael dos Anjos.

This Monday (11), through his social networks, Ponzinibbio challenges the Brazilian, who finished Neil Magny at UFC 215, last Saturday (09). “Saturday broadcast. The message is given! “ponzinibbioxdosanjos”, wrote the Argentine in the caption of a video of the Spanish broadcast of the event. In the images, which were aired before Dos Anjos' victory, Santi praises the fighters and says he would like to face the winner.
“It's a fight that I really like and I would love to face the winner (of Dos Anjos x Magny). They are excellent athletes, may the best win and may they come to me”, he said, during the program. Before the fight, Ponzinibbio had also put up a montage with the two fighters, saying that he was waiting for one of them.
At 30 years old, Argentinian Gente Boa last acted in July this year, when he knocked out favorite Gunnar Nelson in the first round. In Ultimate, there have already been nine fights, with seven victories – four by knockout – and two defeats, the last in June 2015. He was a finalist in TUF Brasil 2, in 2013, but was prevented from fighting in the final of the program after injure.
