As a form of 'punishment', the Brazilian will not take part in the main fight of UFC 215, on September 9th, when she will put her title on the line against Valentina – the main event will be between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg, who are competing for the flyweight belt. Despite what happened, Amanda guarantees that she doesn't care about the criticism received by her boss.

So, I went back to the hospital for the second time, had an MRI, and then they discovered a fluid in the part of my chronic sinusitis. So that's what was stuck, I hadn't done anything to make the fluids start to come out. Dana White spoke his mind. He owns the event, he owns the show, he says whatever he wants. What I have to do is my job. The fight has already been rescheduled, now it’s time to get in there, get this belt and take it home again”, declared the fighter, in an interview with the Brazilian press.

When asked about the second confrontation with Shevchenko, Amanda was calm about the possibility of fighting five rounds, something that had never happened in her career. Although she is prepared to perform for 25 minutes, the Brazilian guarantees that she will not let the fight be decided by the judges.
