Conor McGregor failed to break legend Floyd Mayweather's unbeaten record and ended knocked out in the 10th round of last Saturday's superfight (26). But, even with the setback, the Irishman achieved a great feat. He landed more blows on his rival than the renowned Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley.

Conor fired 430 punches and connected 111 on Mayweather, with a success rate of 26%. In 2015, Manny Pacquiao landed 81 shots out of 429 thrown, with 19% efficiency.
Before that, in 2013, Miguel Cotto landed 105 blows out of 506 thrown (21% success) in a 12-round contest. Shane Mosley, who was also defeated by Mayweather in a unanimous decision, connected 105 punches, out of 452 (20% success rate).
The superfight

The undefeated Floyd Mayweather defended his unbeaten record in the 'noble art' and scored his 50th consecutive victory against the Irishman Conor McGregor, the only fighter to win two UFC belts simultaneously. A 'money fight', as the duel was called, paid no less than US$400 million in purses to the fighters.
