Fighter Frans Mlambo had exclusive access to one of the biggest fights of all time: the Irish bantamweight was part of the training camp Conor McGregor for the superfight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which takes place today in Las Vegas. A former professional boxer, Mlambo helped with the sparring and showed optimism when talking about his personal friend's chances against “Money.

Mlambo predicts that McGregor will knock out Mayweather in the first six rounds and also spoke about the controversy surrounding the sparring session between “Notorious” and former world boxing champion Paulie Malinaggi.

“I'm not much of a bettor, so I can't tell you what percentage I would give (for a McGregor knockout victory). But I always had in my head that he would win until the sixth round, especially because we have to take into account Mayweather's incredible defensive capacity. However, still, I don't see this fight going beyond the first six rounds”, commented Mlambo, who was helping in Malinaggi's corner when the former champion sparred against McGregor, and said he was not impressed with Paulie.

“Now, I have to say it was an honor to meet Paulie Malinaggi, but I was there at the sparring session, I was even helping in Paulie's corner. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife. It felt more like a fight than a sparring session. And it's true, Paulie was much worse than the video shows and he was much worse than other sparring partners. The video that was released, for me, doesn't even show the worst part of Paulie”, declared the fighter in an interview with the Combate channel website.

Even focused on preparing Conor McGregor for the super fight against Mayweather, Mlambo, who works in MMA, says he is already missing the Brave cage and hopes to fight when the promotion returns to Bahrain, in November, for International Combat Week.

“I'm negotiating to fight at the event that Brave will hold in Bahrain in November, but nothing is certain. I want to fight soon, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in Brave’s cage”, he concluded.
