UFC President Dana White recently won the right to promote the superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor officially. Thus, his statements are now taken as the words of one of the organizers of the mega event on August 26th. And the manager seems optimistic about the duel's pay-per-view sales. According to White, the expectation is that this will become the best-selling show in boxing history.

Currently, the record for biggest PPV package sales is the duel between Mayweather himself and Manny Pacquiao, held in 2015. At the time, 4,6 million pay-per-views were sold. Dana White sees the duel between the North American and the Irishman reaching close to five million sales also due to the UFC's influence and experience in selling pay-per-views.
“There are a lot of things that boxing events don’t do when it comes to selling pay-per-views. Most of the time, they deal with TV stations, but we at UFC have the ability and experience to do certain things that aren't done at these pay-per-view events. Preliminary numbers indicate that we will sell what everyone is thinking. Something around 4,9 million sales”, declared White.
