Protagonist of one of the biggest MMA scandals in recent years, South Korean fighter Tae Hyun Bang is no longer part of the UFC fighter roster. In April this year, the South Korean police began investigating the possibility of manipulating the result of a fight between Bang and Leo Kuntz, which took place in November 2015.
At the time, the Asian supposedly received around US$88 (around R$280) to lose the fight, but he changed his mind before the duel and emerged victorious. According to the website 'Tokoreaherald.com', Tae Hyun has already admitted his guilt to local authorities in the country, and is now free pending the decision of the case.
Tae Hyun Bang, 34, has three losses and two wins in the UFC. In total, his record has 18 triumphs and ten setbacks.
