After returning to the path of victories against Derrick Lewis, at UFC New Zealand in June this year, heavyweight Mark Hunt started a campaign to face again Fabricio Werdum. The Brazilian and the New Zealander met at UFC 180 for the interim 120 kg title, and “Vai Cavalo” came out on top, knocking out Hunt in the second round with a flying knee. Despite insisting on a new duel with Werdum, “Super Samoan” ended up accepting a duel with Marcin tybura and mocked his rival.

Through social media, Hunt hinted that he asked for the rematch with Werdum to take place at UFC Japan in September. However, the Brazilian would have denied the fight – according to the New Zealander “because he had a manicure schedule”.

“I tried to get an opponent ranked among the five best in the category. As everyone was busy, I suggested Werdum's name for Japan, but he already had an appointment with the manicurist. So, it's party time, Marcin tybura,” commented Hunt.

the duel between Mark Hunt e Marcin tybura will serve as the headliner for the UFC's return to Australia. Ultimate will hold an event in Sydney on November 18th and the fight between the New Zealander and the Pole is the only one confirmed so far. Werdum remains without an opponent, but intends to face Derrick Lewis.
