The UFC has finally released the names of the fighters who will be part of the 26th season of The Ultimate Fighter. Like what happened in TUF 20, in this edition the winner of the tournament will also become Ultimate world champion. It was the organization's way of officially opening the women's flyweight division (up to 57 kg). The program premieres on the 30th and runs until the end of the year, when the finalists will face each other live for the Ultimate flyweight title. On the same night, the technicians Justin gaethje and Eddie Alvarez must face each other.

Among the names selected by the UFC, those of the veterans stand out. Lauren Murphy and Roxanne Modaferri. Both fought for Ultimate in the bantamweight category, but are naturally in the flyweight division. Modaferri has even participated in another season of The Ultimate Fighter. As a bantamweight, the American fought on the Miesha Tate on TUF 18, when the former champion trained her team against Ronda Rousey, in the first edition with men and women in the house. Another renowned athlete selected was the first fly champion of Invicta FC, an exclusively women's event, Barb Honchak. IFC also released DeAnna Bennett and Rachel Ostovich-Berdon.
The 26th season of The Ultimate Fighter will feature lightweights Eddie Alvarez and Justin gaethje as coaches. Former champion Alvarez challenged Gaethje after seeing him debut in the UFC with an impressive knockout over Michael Johnson. In addition to holding the UFC lightweight belt, Eddie Alvarez was also Bellator champion. Already Justin gaethje arrived in the UFC as a former WSOF champion.
