Luke Rockhold It seems that he still hasn't swallowed the defeat against Michael Bisping, which cost him the UFC middleweight belt. While prepares to return to fight after more than a year off, the former division champion once again criticized the current belt holder, stating that the Englishman should be removed from the number 1 position for not having faced any of the elite in the under-84kg category.

Bisping

“Bisping hasn't faced anyone in the top 10 in the last 18 months and he won't face anyone in the top 10. Where does that put him? I think (the UFC) should remove guys like him, who don't fight anyone at the top. They removed the Germain de Randamie because she wasn't going to face the number one contender. Why is it different with him?”, declared the fighter, in an interview with the American ESPN.

The rivalry between Rockhold and Bisping has already been resolved twice inside the octagon. In the first, in November 2014, the North American got the better of him by submitting his rival in the second round, after controlling every moment of the fight. In the rematch, better for Bisping, who knocked out Luke in the first round. Since then, Bisping has only played once, when he defeated the veteran Dan Henderson at UFC 204 last October.

Before his most recent setback, Rockhold, 32, had won the division's belt one fight earlier, at UFC 194, with a knockout over Chris Weidman, in December 2015. In Ultimate, he had seven fights, with five wins and two losses. In total, he has 15 positive results and three negative results in his professional record, including winning the now-defunct Strikeforce belt.
