The relationship between Jon Jones and Dana White, president of the UFC, is not doing well at all. And the person who revealed this was the fighter himself. Visibly upset with his boss, Jones complained about the treatment he received from the manager after being caught taking an anti-doping test on the eve of UFC 200, in July 2016, when he would have a rematch with Daniel Cormier. According to the former Ultimate champion, he felt abandoned by Dana.

“I think that when you make money for the company, you're a pay per view attraction and you put money in his pocket, then you mean a lot to him. The moment you don't do those things, you mean nothing to him, and he's done a decent job of showing that. I felt completely abandoned by him (Dana White), in a situation where I needed him most. I feel like he showed who he really is, and now I have no desire to pretend that he cares about me or that we are friends."
In addition to the shaken relationship, Jones also revealed that he has avoided contact with Dana. According to Bones, he received some calls from the president of Ultimate, but chose to give the boss a break.
“Dana White reached out to me on at least four occasions, and I did not respond to any of her calls or texts. This is the reason we haven't spoken. Unless he has something really urgent to talk about, I prefer to talk to Ari Emanuel. Right now, I see Ari as my boss and Dana more as the face and voice of the UFC,” he concluded.
