Known for his powerful kicks and aggressive style inside the Octagon, the middleweight Thiago Marreta is ready to add another victim to his cartel. And the one who guarantees this is the fighter himself, who, although he has lost two of the last three fights, guarantees that he is prepared to once again achieve a sequence of victories against the finisher. Gerald meerschaert at UFC 213, this Saturday (08), in Las Vegas (USA).
“I confess that I don't know in detail about my opponent, but based on his history and his recent fights, you can see that he is a guy who seeks ground fighting at all costs. My focus is to get there well prepared, and that's how I feel after this camp, and there's no such thing as playing conservatively, wouldn't that be me... Of course I'll be paying attention to everything, but I'm not going to leave my style aside, I'm going to release my game and knock out”, declared the fighter, in an interview with the website 'Portal do Vale Tudo'.
In case of victory, Marreta should return to being close to the middleweight rankings, a list he already belonged to in 2016. However, he guarantees that his only concern is winning his next challenge.
“On my mind right now is only Saturday’s fight. I trained a lot to arrive on Saturday on top of my game, I tried to focus only on my next opponent and, honestly, I don't want to worry now about what comes next. First I'm going to win this fight, then I'll stop with my team to plan the sequence of the year. One step at a time”, he concluded.
