The information was released by the newspaper “Los Angeles Times” (USA).

Lawler, 35, was champion of the 77 kg division between 2014 and 2016, with successful defenses against Rory McDonald e Carlos Condit. In July 2016, however, the American was dethroned from his post after being knocked out by Tyron woodley, still in the first round. Since then, Robbie has not fought again.

Cerrone, a year younger, challenged for the lightweight division belt (70 kg) in December 2015, and was run over by the then champion, Rafael dos Anjos. After that, he moved up a category and recorded four victories, against Alex Cowboy, Patrick Côté and Matt Brown, but was knocked out by Jorge masvidal in his last performance, in January of this year.

UFC 214 will feature three title fights. At light heavyweight, Daniel Cormier e Jon Jones make the long-awaited rematch for the number 1 spot in the under-93kg category. At welterweight, the champion Tyron woodley puts his title on the line against the Brazilian Demian Maia, While Chris Cyborg and Tonya Evinger compete for the vacant women's featherweight belt. Brazil still has three more Brazilians on the card: Renan Barao, which faces aljamain sterling, in a duel that will be in the catchweight up to 63,5kg, the featherweight Renato Moicano, which measures forces with Brian ortega, and at bantamweight Ketlen Scallop, which faces Sara McMann.
