After the knockout suffered by Stipe Miocic in May, junior gypsy He already has a date and opponent for his return to the Octagon. The Brazilian will face Francis Ngannou at UFC 215, which will take place in Edmonton, Canada, on September 9th. Ultimate made the duel official on its official website this Wednesday (28). Ngannou is undefeated so far in the UFC, with five wins – all by knockout or submission. The Cameroonian is currently number five in the heavyweight rankings.
Cigano, on the other hand, is coming off a defeat to Miocic at UFC 211. The Brazilian had already beaten the current champion in 2014, by decision, but this time he ended up being knocked out in the first round. Dos Santos is in fourth place in the category rankings and, before his defeat against the Croatian-American, he had won over Ben Rothwell. Cigano was world champion between 2012 and 2012, and lost the title in a duel against Cain Velásquez, the same fighter he had beaten to win the belt.
