The heavy weight Fedor Emelianenko returns to MMA this Saturday (24), at Bellator 180, when he will face Matt Mitrione in the second most important fight of the night. Former Pride champion, the Russian is considered the best of all time by some fans and experts, ahead of Anderson Silva, Jon Jones e Georges St Pierre. Fedor, however, rejects the label.

Preaching humility, the 40-year-old heavyweight says he sees some athletes who are better than him in various parts of MMA and also chooses his favorite fights from his successful career:

“I never thought I was the best of all time. A fighter can lose at any time. And there are some fighters, for example, who defend positions and are better than me in some techniques. About my favorite fights, it's difficult to talk. Every fight I've had has been interesting in at least one aspect. But maybe a fight that I can take to another level would be my first victory over Rodrigo Minotauro and the fight with Mirko Cro Cop”, commented Fedor, in an interview with the North American program “The MMA Hour”.

The two duels mentioned by the Russian are his most notable victories. In 2003, still unknown, he surprised the Brazilian with an impeccable performance, wresting the PRIDE heavyweight title from Minotauro. Two years later, he defended the belt again against Croatian Cro Cop in one of the best fights in the history of the category.
