General confusion engulfed the second most important fight at Glory 42, one of the biggest kickboxing events in the world, the most recent edition of which took place last Saturday (10). Murthel Groenhart punched Harut Grigorian, when his back was to him, after feeling a previous blow and knocked out his opponent. Shortly after the fight ended, Groenhart was surprised by several spectators, who invaded the ring and began throwing blows at him.

The two were exchanging good blows in the second round, when Murthel managed to land a flying knee. Grigorian seemed to feel the blow and turned his back on his opponent. At this moment, Groenhart released a right hook, which hit Harut squarely and left him completely knocked out on the ground. The blow was controversial, but legal, as the round had not ended and the central referee had not stopped the fight.
Immediately after releasing the blow, the Dutchman was attacked by two fans, who climbed into the ring without authorization and tried to throw blows at the fighter, who defended himself. In a statement, Glory warned that it will work to identify the two spectators and will prosecute them, adding that Groenhart did not suffer any injuries as a result of the attack.
