Facing the American Brian Gassaway, 50 seconds into the second round, Pelé released a kick that stopped on Brian's leg, causing the Brazilian fighter's shin to fracture. Pelé, who was admitted to Montreal yesterday for surgery and is expected to remain in hospital for another three days, could be out of training for six months, according to the Canadian medical team.
