Max Holloway decided, definitively, to end the provocations against the champion José Aldo. After spending the months leading up to the confrontation provoking the Brazilian, the Hawaiian's controversial statements were in the past, and the focus is all on next Saturday's challenge, when he faces Aldo in the main fight of UFC 212.

“Nothing has changed, there is nothing personal, we have a fight to fight, and I have to win, at the end of the day. But nothing changed. Those were the facts, I was telling the truth, I didn't say anything to shock. We have to promote the fight, but I got to where I wanted, I'm where I wanted to be. Now is not the time to talk, it is time to fight. It's time to do the fun things, to bang. It's time to fight”, declared Holloway, in an interview with the program 'Revista Combate'.
Asked about the frequency of Aldo's fights, who hasn't fought in 11 months, Holloway ignored the fact and reiterated that now is the time to focus on the fight.
“He fights once a year, I fight four. There was a rumor that he wouldn't fight me, so I “preferred” to fight Pettis, and he said I wanted that because he considered it an easier fight. I'm using the words he used. But it is what it is, no problem. The time to talk is over, it’s time to fight,” he concluded.
