Valentina Shevchenko still hasn't swallowed the 'punch' he took Amanda nunes during a confrontation between the two, held last Friday (12), during an Ultimate press conference. Even after the women's bantamweight champion justified herself, indicating that she would have been touched first, the new challenger in the category did not want to forgive the Brazilian, whom she will face at UFC 213, on July 8, in Las Vegas (USA), in a duel valid for the division's belt.

“She’s a good fighter, dangerous and I respect that. But as a person, no. A good person would never act that way. She says this, says that, but she acts like a crazy person. But this happens because she is really scared, afraid. This fear is something that comes from within her. But I will respond to this speech in the fight,” said Shevchenko, in a press conference after last Friday’s clashes.

The confusion in their gaze even made Valentina lose respect for the Brazilian. According to her, this will be the first time that she will need to control her emotions for a professional duel, such is the 'scolding' she is feeling from the champion.

“I always have a lot of respect for my opponents, but the moment they start trash talking or acting like that, I completely lose respect for these types of people. I think that a true martial artist should never lose respect for his opponent, but, talking specifically about Amanda, she is not a good person”, he concluded.

Amanda and Valentina already faced each other in March 2016, when the Brazilian won by unanimous decision. After the confrontation, the 'Leoa' received the chance to face the then champion Miesha Tate at UFC 200, in July 2016, and took the belt from the American by submitting her in the first round. Nunes defended her belt for the first time with a knockout Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 last December. Shevchenko, in turn, recovered by scoring two victories: he beat Holly holm by points and Julianna Pena by completion.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
