Boxing: Klitschko unifies heavyweight titles

Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko unified his world heavyweight title last Sunday (February 24), in a fight against Russian Sultan Ibragimov. The fight took place in New York (USA).

Klitschko achieved a feat that would never be repeated again

since 1999 in the category. The fighter, who was already the World Boxing Federation champion, now also holds the World Boxing Organization belt. Furthermore, the Croatian (50w – 3l) was the author of the first setback for Ibragimov, who was undefeated with 22 wins and one draw.

Although the fight lasted 12 rounds, Klitschko had a clear advantage and won by unanimous decision from the judges.
