Even though he is focused on facing Floyd Mayweather in boxing in his next fight, Conor McGregor appears to be making contingency plans, in case the duel with the North American does not go ahead. Even focusing his training on the noble art, the UFC champion guarantees that he has not neglected other aspects of MMA, such as ground fighting and kicks. Conor says he continues training in other martial arts because Floyd can “go yellow”.

If the duel with Mayweather doesn't get off the ground, theoretically McGregor would return to Ultimate to defend his lightweight title. However, the Irishman is thinking about a duel with Manny Pacquiao who, like Floyd, has world boxing titles in several categories. The UFC champion spoke about his training and the possibility of “Money” “going yellow” in a post on his Instagram, when he described a video he sent to one of his students.

“I sent this video to one of my pupils who was looking for advice on boxing-specific footwork. I think you'll like. My focus has only been on boxing lately, but have no doubt that the kicking and grappling part, and everything else that refers to the unlimited style of fighting, remain very present in my thoughts. After all, Floyd may still shit his pants, and I may have to go back to real fights, or choose another opponent, like Manny (Pacquiao) or someone else. But that's another story”, commented McGregor, who revealed that he intends to train his future son (born in May) to be world champion too.

“I like training fighters and watching their progress. I have trained many to date, and all without any interest. One of them is in the main fight of this Saturday's UFC. When my son is born, I will transform him into a multi-time fighting champion, just like his father. I’m looking forward to it”, concluded the Irishman.
